The Sharon Rose Miller Journey
On Sunday, December 12, 2004 Sharon Rose Miller passed away due to
complications from breast cancer.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday,
December 19, 2004, 3:00 p.m. at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington
Street, Chicago, IL 60602. (Wheelchair accessible at 77 E. Randolph
St.) Service to be held in GAR Hall.
It was hard to meet Sharon and not notice her sense of
style - the earrings that perfectly matched the broach, the purse that would
draw compliments from strangers...every time she carried it. Please take
an extra minute for her when you are getting ready for the memorial service.

Hi Friends,
Welcome to my personal, work-in-progress, website!
I want to share my personal story as a young woman with breast cancer in the
hopes that I can help other people with cancer or a life crisis.
I am posting some of my favorite websites with medical information. As a RN,
I feel one of the most important tools in dealing with any disease is
empowerment with information. As a public speaker, I talk about what I have
learned in this journey, how to communicate with your health care professionals,
educational information on breast cancer, and how to support others who have
disease or life crisis. My hope is that you will find some useful information on
this website, and find additional support during a very difficult journey (what
ever it might be).
I have recently given myself permission to explore hobbies I have always
wanted to do: painting and writing! I implore each to you NOT to wait for a life
crisis to give yourselves permission to follow your dreams. It is very difficult
to live each day as if it is your last; however, please TRY. I am still learning
how to do it!
My most important life lessons:
- Take care of your most precious possession: your body
- Value your time and spend it with positive, nurturing
people.
- Tell and SHOW your loved ones how much you really care.
Best of Luck in your journey.
Many thanks to all who continue to support me.
Sharon
